Inaugural 2024 Catalyst Awards for Most Inspiring Tech Leaders of Los Angeles
As the year comes to an end, we have one final event tonight that marks the end of 2024!!
PledgeLA is hosting its first-ever Catalyst Awards to honor the most inspiring founders, emerging VC fund managers, and ecosystem leaders.
This night is personally a special one for me, because… It makes a new milestone on the great distance I have travelled 🙏
From a homeless kid in OC, to a Most Inspiring Emerging Manager (nominee) in LA
I have been invited to this event because I was nominated as one of the Most Inspiring Emerging Managers, as a General Partner of Sunset Ventures.
I am truly blessed and deeply grateful to be recognized by Pledge LA.
An organization with a mission to improve diversity & equity within tech and venture capital. For those who know me, know this is at the core of my life’s work.
The underlying motivation for pursuing VC as an investor.
Never could I have imagined in the earlier years of my life, that I would one day be managing a fund to invest in founders building the future.

The event will at the historic El Rey Theatre, which is a historic monument with an original art deco theatre from its establishment back in 1906.
I am a long-time LA native and have never been before, so I am excited to check out such a cool venue with family & friends to join the fun!
The ceremony is co-hosted by the Annenberg Foundation and the City of Los Angeles, with special guests Mayor Karen Bass, Jose Feliciano & Kwanza Jones.
