Cyberattacks as a weapon in space

With September well on its way, we have been preparing for our upcoming event and am excited about the panel speaking at the Hardtech Mixer and Panel this Friday!

The LA Tech ecosystem is gaining more and more prominence in the US, and has a strong advantage over Silicon Valley.

That advantage is “Deep Tech.”

Deep Tech is made of the various hard(ware) technologies that go beyond the more common software development (apps, platforms, middleware, APIs).

Hard Tech includes Space, drones, robotics, and more.

This advantage comes from LA’s rich history in aerospace & defense, which predates the history of Hollywood! (Read: “Thank God for El Segundo” if this interests you!)

Our panelists will discuss the role that startups, defense companies, and government play in scaling & securing the space economy through rockets and AI.

• Carrie Hernandez - Founder of Rebel Space (ex: SpaceX, Air Force Space Operator)

• Aaron Myrick - Sr. Engineer at The Aerospace Corp., where he has been for 18 years (Fun fact: he hacked a satellite at DEF CON & won the competition)

• Felix Bustos - Founder of ATRX (Intelligence Officer with Defense Innovation Unit - DIU)

This is even more topical with headlines on cybersecurity threats for military satellites said to become a top priority.

We will have community leader Raychel Espiritu moderating the panel! She is the Founder of RAR Studio and was formerly at the Starburst Accelerator.
