Week of September 9, 2024

This past week, I had the opportunity to host LA investors & operators for brunch before our Space NASA Tour at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL).

Guests came from Porsche Ventures, BAM Ventures, Seaside Ventures, Morpheus Ventures, Running Point Capital Advisors, Moxxie Ventures, Crave, and Hannah Grey.

Some who are experienced in deep tech (space, robotics, and quantum) and others who are learning about space for the first time!

We got to learn a ton of new things!

Did you know “rockets” were associated with Buck Rogers (a superhero in the 1920s) and considered a joke?

Because of that, the terminology of “jets” and “propulsion” had to be used instead! Also, JPL is more focused on robotics than on rockets these days.

Looking forward to taking a bigger group for LA Tech Week next month!
